Every day on The Carlos Watson Show, we strive to bring you surprising perspectives that meet this unique and dynamic moment in our culture. And that frequently means celebrating Black excellence, Black joy, Black curiosity and Black history, while also taking a critical look at what needs to change. With season two and Black History Month coming to a close, here is a look at some of my favorite conversations about race in this country and how we might #ResetAmerica.

For our final show of season two, we’re celebrating Black History Month with a very special episode: “Woke History.” Hear from today’s top minds like Ta-Nehisi Coates, Ava DuVernay, Priyanka Chopra, Megyn Kelly, Karamo Brown and more about the under-celebrated Black visionaries of the past and today’s history-making moments.

Identical twin comics the Lucas brothers give some behind-the-scenes insights into their new movie, Judas and the Black Messiah, based on the life of Black Panther Fred Hampton, and speak to why this is an important time to tell Hampton’s story. The funny brothers share what it’s like building a career as a twosome, why they quit law school for stand-up comedy, and why they think we’re living through a renaissance in Black art.

What connection does she draw between the news media and the systemic racial issues seen across society — and how does she propose we fix it?
